Travel Tips and New Hampshire
This week, I went to New Hampshire to see my family. A couple quick travel tips:
1. Pack light and travel with only carry-on luggage, if you can. Airports can get crazy and you definitely don't want to be waiting around for your luggage after a long flight!
2. Bring an empty refillable water bottle with you so you can stay hydrated (fill it up after you go through security).
3. Dress in layers because you never know what temperature it's going to be in the airport and on the plane. And, bring snacks to munch on so you don't get hangry!
So, New Hampshire is absolutely stunning. It is the perfect place to be in the middle of June. Long days, bare feet, wild strawberries, endless lawns, and lakes everywhere. The air is fresh and the sun is warm. I picked wild strawberries from my grandparents’ front lawn in my Tinley Fitbit Bracelet for Fitbit Flex. I got a surprising amount of steps in...and the strawberries were so juicy and sweet! The birds here are incredible in their variety and plumage and all very vocal. Trees line the windy, hilly roads and the sunlight filters through them softly.
We also visited some old friends in Portsmouth, on the seacoast, for a casual afternoon by the ocean. I wore a sundress (it has pockets!!) and paired it with my black Tinley bracelet. The contrast was nice and fit the casual occasion perfectly. It's really cool to have friends on the opposite coast that I haven't seen for almost ten years, and everything just seemed to fall right back into place. The moon was full so we all took a walk on the beach; we admired the sound of the waves crashing and the smell of bonfires and salty air.
We leave New Hampshire this Thursday, have one week in San Diego and then will be heading off to Tahoe to camp in a tent for two weeks! Looking forward to it!
